Ask The Post AI is a tool to get you the answers you need on the topics you care about most. All responses are AI-generated based only from published articles by The Post. In collaboration with the product team, I lead the branding design behind all touch-points: Animated and still logos, ads, press release materials, and more.


The idea behind the logo was to create a visual experience that grounded ai. So often, we see floating gradients to connote some abstract all-knowing being. Since Ask The Post AI solely sources published articles by Washington Post journalists, I wanted to create an animated logo that spoke moreso to a collage of archival information.

 

This shorthand logo form was designed for the platform’s loading state/when the platform is “thinking,” this additional touchpoint framed the experience as more interactive.
